Steve Leonard '76 writes: "We were having the first chapter meeting after initiating that semester's pledge class. All the new brothers were warmly welcomed. At the conclusion of the meeting, for no apparent reason or connection, (and almost exactly like Bluto and Flounder in Animal House, but before the movie was released), someone declared of new brother Tim Fleming '90, 'from now on your fraternity name will be Turk!' Surprisingly, this gesture meant for a quick laugh stuck, and Tim was forevermore, 'Turk'."
